This ministry provides “quality” used children’s clothing and donated new clothing to the children in Montgomery Independent School District (MISD) schools and our Montgomery community. The families are referred to the “Closet” by MISD counselors and the clothing is given to the families at no charge. In the fall, the Children’s Clothes Closet sponsors a “Jacket Drive” to provide new jackets or hooded sweatshirts to students so all the children in our community can be warm during the winter. The Children’s Clothes Closet is open two Saturdays per month in conjunction with the Saturday Food Pantry. There is an ongoing need for volunteers to sort and prepare these items for distribution.
