Our traditional worship services are Sunday mornings, 8:30am and 11:00am. Services offer elements of traditional worship including the old favorite hymns, gospels and current praise and worship music. Our services begin with a warm “Welcome home!” The resounding response is, “It's good to be home!”
Our enthusiastic music director, Kathy Hutson, directs the Chancel Choir for both services and you'll find you're drawn into the excitement of singing praises to our Lord within this great family of God. Special music is a regular part of service as well, including our wonderful Children's Choir.
Worship services include visual aspects especially for special services, enhancing the worship experience. Special services include , but are not limited to, seasonal events such as Holy Week and Christmas. Holy Communion is celebrated monthly on the first Sunday. As Methodists, we believe in having an “open table”- since it’s the Lord’s Supper, and not the Methodist Supper, we invite everyone to take communion with us. Our church family embraces our youth and children and encourages participation within our weekly services.
Both services have a children's message. During the 11am service, Children's Church follows the children's message for those children ages 3 years old thru second grade. Nursery is also provided during each service and sunday school for children ages newborn to 3 years old.
We welcome you to come as you are, no formal attire required. Once you experience worship at MUMC, you'll discover why we say “It's good to be home!”
This service is at 9:45am Sunday mornings in the Faith Center. This service is deeply connected to its Wesleyan Methodist heritage while also incorporating the work God has been doing in contemporary Chriatian song writing. You'll enjoy worshiping and have fun meeting people just like you, ordinary people who have encountered an awesome God.
You don't have to dress up. You don't have to pretend your life is perfectly in order. You'll find a friendly, relaxed place where you can truly be yourself. You'll be encouraged, challenged, and given the tools to connect with God. You'll hear teaching you can apply to your life today. You might even experience worship in a way you never have before.
We want people to see Jesus for who he really is and to begin a relationship with him. As a church, we want to do life together as we seek to grow and understand what God has in store for each of us. You are not simply welcome to the MUMC, you are wanted. Come expecting to find real people who are learning every day how to serve God by serving and loving each other.
