Caring Ministers
Caring Ministers help people who are homebound, lonely or incapacitated by illness, or aging. These ministers care for individuals in a variety of ways: visiting each week, making phone calls, writing cards, and bringing a sense of connection. Caring Ministers offer hope and encouragement. They take the love of Christ to those in need. If you want to have a Caring Minister visit you or if you want to be a Caring Minister, please call the church office at 936-597-6162.
Stephen Ministers
Stephen Ministers are lay ministers who provide emotional and spiritual care for people who are struggling through a difficult time in their lives: loss of a loved one, job loss, divorce, chronic illness, and others. We serve congregation members and others in our community by providing one-to-one Christian care. Each Stephen Minister meets with an assigned care receiver once a week, listening closely while maintaining confidentiality. Stephen Ministers assure them of God’s love and constant care through scripture and prayer. We do not try to fix the problem because we are the Caregivers; God is the Cure Giver. Please call the church office 936-597-6162 if you would like to speak to a Stephen Minister.
GriefShare
GriefShare is a 13-week grief support group program for adults who have lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend. We offer help and encouragement and walk with them on the long path through their grief toward healing and hope. There are three components to each weekly meeting: a video seminar, support group, and workbook. Call the church office if you want more information—936-597-6162.
