The Carpenter's Helpers

The Carpenter’s Helpers

The Carpenter's Helpers are volunteers who repair homes and/or construct needed facilities free of charge for individuals in the community who are unable to manage it themselves for physical or financial reasons. Our scope of work covers both interior and exterior repair and construction needs. Construction typically includes wheelchair ramps, porches, railings, etc. Material costs are covered mostly by church member donations. This is a results-oriented group endeavoring to encourage and improve the health, welfare, safety, and quality of life of our neighbors in need. Participants need not be experienced in carpentry or other construction skills … there is a place for anyone who wants to learn/grow in these skills as they “Share His Love”.

For more information or to get on the project email list, contact Tom Sheahan at 281-460-6260 or by email at trsheahan@suddenlink.net.

Recently, they built a new porch and steps for one of our neighbors on Mt. Mariah Road. They built the project in Craig’s workshop and then transported down the road and did final install.
